An environmental and climate change advocate focused on designiMy journey into environmental advocacy was shaped by direct engagement with local communities and firsthand exposure to environmental degradation, flooding, pollution, and resource mismanagement. These experiences revealed that climate change is not a distant or abstract issue but a daily reality impacting lives, livelihoods, and future generations. This understanding reinforced my conviction that climate solutions must be context-specific, community-driven, and sustainable.ng localized, people-centered responses to climate challenges affecting Nigeria, Africa, and the Global South. Founded in August 2022, the Bluelilly Initiative serves as a collaborative platform for environmentalists, climate advocates, and community members from diverse backgrounds. The Initiative was established to train, inspire, and empower individuals—regardless of prior experience—to actively participate in environmental protection and climate action.
Climate education is the foundation of all Bluelilly Initiative programs. We develop accessible, practical learning modules that break down complex climate concepts and translate them into actionable knowledge. Our approach prioritizes empowerment, ensuring that communities most affected by climate challenges are equipped to lead solutions relevant to their unique contexts.

Participation in climate-focused conferences, workshops, and policy dialogues
These experiences have strengthened my ability to connect climate science with policy processes and community-level action, enabling effective engagement with stakeholders across sectors.
Through the Bluelilly Initiative, I have led and mobilized over 200 young volunteers in community-based environmental interventions, including clean-up campaigns in Oworoshoki (Lagos State) and Tanke (Ilorin). These initiatives addressed critical challenges such as blocked drainage systems, environmental pollution, and the accumulation of static waste—issues with direct public health and environmental implications.
Bluelilly Initiative has organized conferences and climate bootcamps that convene government agencies, environmental professionals, youth advocates, and community leaders. These platforms foster knowledge exchange, strategic collaboration, and the co-creation of solutions aligned with local needs and policy frameworks.
Our work is guided by the principle that those most affected by climate change must lead the response. We emphasize solutions that are practical, inclusive, and sustainable, ensuring environmental interventions deliver tangible benefits to both people and ecosystems.
I remain committed to strengthening climate resilience and environmental stewardship across Nigeria and Africa by expanding access to education, supporting youth leadership, and promoting community-driven climate action. This journey continues to be shaped by collaboration, learning, and a shared commitment to turning environmental awareness into measurable change.
